Our Land Acknowledgement

Located on Treaty 1 territory, Manitoba Opera acknowledges the traditional lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Anisininew, Dakota, and Dene, and the Red River Métis homeland. We recognize our water comes from Shoal Lake, home to Iskatewizaagegan No. 39 Independent Nation and Shoal Lake 40 First Nation. We commit to working with Indigenous peoples in the spirit of truth, reconciliation and collaboration.
